Post your updates!
The Star has listed our rally as a stand-alone item on page B3. I just heard from a military spouse in Simi that saw the rally announcement. Her husband is on the USS Constellation - she will be joining us. The Star also published an excellent letter to the editor from one of our freepers.
KHAY is beginning to announce our rally during air time. We caused quite a ruckus over there - let's let them digest things for a little while.
The Boy Scouts has put a call out for Scouts to attend in uniform. They will lead us in the closing pledge again.
Gary of American Flag is putting together a memorial for Sgt. Bitz - it will be nice. He didn't think it appropriate to invite his mother directly but did ask the Star reporter to get word to her. He is donating a flag.
Bob, the WWII vet, has done a spectacular job of getting the local Vet groups involved. They are doing their best to get something together by this Sunday.
Should have some great articles coming out in the Star and the L.A. Times - probably on Sunday - keep your eyes open.
Many thanks to all the work that everybody has done. We have had phenomenal success in pulling the rally together.

Please post an after action report with photos if possible. We are compiling the photos for a CD Tribute, and keeping a running list of pro-Troop events for media exposure.
Please ping A Navy Vet, Bob J, and diotima. Thank you.

I need some help. Can some of you go to Mayflower Madams defense regarding the Trees in THousand Oaks. She dared voice her opinion, and is being reamed for it.

Oh boy - a triple bump - nice job ;^)
(Just doing her best to keep the thread on the board!)

Tell us what to do! And who is trying to ream her? We'll be all over it like the pitbulls we are!
To: Rabid Republican
Since we are trying to play by the rules and ordinances of our cities and towns, Mayflower is trying to point out in the yellow ribbon Thousand Oaks thread the rules in the city. Also trying to get people the facts before they send out a bunch of illinformed emails to the city council. We DO need to be classy. So some guy named Tracer criticized her.

Oh, I thought it was somebody in T.O. (like a city official or someone). I'll go check the thread out.

I checked out that other post. I think somebody should win the drunk, ignorant, mean and/or stupid award. Or that person has some real psychological issues and should be avoided at all costs. In any event, certainly not freeper worthy.
Thanks for posting the info on the rally - that was really good thinking.
Mayflower - you did a great job with your logical assessment of the yellow ribbon situation - talk about keeping a cool head. You'd be great for emergencies!
To: Rabid Republican
where do i look to find the post you are talking about? I'm REALLY curious now!!!!

Do a search on yellow ribbon - its the one that has about 76 posts to it. I wish I had been home sooner but Mayflower Madame sure didn't need any help - she's TOUGH!!!
To: Rabid Republican
I read almost the whole thread...near the end there is a press release explaining everything. I think that the person giving her grief is just one of those people who gets off on trying to knock good people down. Mayflower is a very witty & tough woman, and I think she handled herself famously! She is a very good person & I am so glad to have her be a part of our rally!
