A voice of historical sanity in a sea of media nonsense. Only the embedded reporters are worth listening to.

There were two articles posted on Rumsfield's influence in the war. The first, based on Pentagon sources, said he was pushing for a direct attack on Baghdad, against the wished of US Generals. The second, based on Pentagon sources, said he was pushing for a siege of Baghdad, against the wished of US Generals.

A raging shame that the elite sniffed at Culture & Carnage due to misplaced and overly sensitive political correctness. If we had the will to survive as a culture, Hansen would have a hour on TV daily.

Intelligence? Yes. Shame? No. They seem stupid if you accept that the argument they are making is their true one. It is not. It is a red herring to simply string out and confuse even the most straight forward position. It is frustrating because of the other point - they have no shame. They will turn on a dime and argue the opposite of their previous position with only a slight change in subject matter. During these multiple hypocrisies they never bat an eye.

If you accept their true aim - to disrupt and destroy the power and prestige of the USA, then they are very intelligent. They have the art of deception and pettifogging down pat. They have the tactic of stealth, infiltrating our schools, churches, and other cultural institutions with the goal of destroying them, down pat.

I am often reminded of a quote I read 10 years or so ago which was attributed to Hillary or one of her mentors. It basically said that lies and deception are treasonous only if you lose. If you win, those same traits make you a hero of the revolution. They intend to win. We had better take them seriously and stop playing along with their games.

Victor Davis Hanson is a rare voice of clarity and realism in a press dominated by defeatism and wishful thinking in equal measures. We need more like him.
