Correct me if I'm wrong, but are not citizens who witness a felony authorized to make arrests?

Sedition carrying a penalty of up to 20 years is a felony - NO?

The solution to New York bridge climbers is quite simple. What Homeland Security needs to do is pre-position some Kentucky or Tennessee squirrel hunters around the bridges. That way, the ragheads can be shot off them at minimum expense. Unless someone has a better idea, I think that one will do just fine.

Could the say that it was a foiled Terrorist Attack? Could they ever report that if it was? NEVER in a million years. The economy would collapse. Will we see these guys mug shots with their names? No, why? Same answer.

Some people who never question "official facts" might even start to put 2+2 together.

They could, if that's what it was. I'm sure you're convinced that's what it was, but then, you were ready to beleive they were rapelling on the bridge. Where does something like that come from? Some people have very fertile imaginations.

Weren't the Kamikaze pilots of Japan pretty loaded before they flew their planes into Pearl Harbor?

Yeah, they were swackered. The original "assasins" name in part, came from hashish that they would smoke before their killing spree.

There were no Kamakazi attacks at Pearl Harbor. That happened far later in the Pacific war - after it was apparent we would win!

OMG, I hope my nephew doesn't use that bridge today to get to/from work (sometimes he does). I better call him.

The evil-doers have the most fertile imaginations of all.

And they've been putting them into action for a long while now.

"Fox 5 news saying they REPELLED off the bridge when confronted. This was the term they used, as if they slid down ropes from the superstructure?"

Cut the ropes and throw them a brick!

Yes--this took place at the Canal Street station, where we switched lines.

Yes.
However, the police need to show up and re-arrest them once they get there.
Usually, they'll just let the guy go since they did not see the crime 'in fact commited' in front of them. Otherwise, they'll take your statement, and if tehy think they can, prosecute you for unlawful detainment if they think they can get away with it.

Depends largely on teh state, and how the answering law enforcement officer feels when he gets there from the donut shop.
Or, in the case of Wallkill police Orange County New York, from their married mistresses' place.

In principle at least, I disagree. As one of my most favorite artists once wrote,

For what it's worth, when I used to drive up the East Side drive on my commute, I would occasionally see a pedestrian (usually black) walking over from Queens or the Bronx hop over the railing and slide down a rope off the Willis Avenue Bridge. It was evidently just their way of saving a little time and effort getting to wherever they were going.

If you hang around New York long enough, you see just about anything. New Yorkers are ingenious. Roller blades, scooters, messenger bikes on the subways, I've seen it all.
