[history]
America is better protected against terrorists and weapons of mass destruction today than it has ever been, says the head of a new federal agency assigned to guard the nation's 6,000 miles of international borders and 300 ports of entry.

I really expected to see some 'atta boys' here.
It seems no one is fooled.
"Yep, we are going to put 35,000 people on the gates and bridges - that's gonna catch those malicious miscreants that are intent on harming us. No way are they gonna get by us. Just tell the terrorists around the world that the gold ole' US of A has all his manpower on those bridges and they just might as well not try anymore.?

Bonnor is either clueless or is purposely lying... I suspect he's lying. I live in Mexico City, work at our embassy and am in constant touch with (former INS) DHS officials. They've told me nothing has changed; our borders are just as porous and, in some respects, even more porous than pre-9/11. This administration is no different than the Clinton administration when it comes to protecting our nation.

BTTT! Thank you for having the courage to speak out.
We're fortunate to hear what's really going on in the field from a few INS and Border Patrol Agents that we have come to trust.
I hope we can add your regular updates, from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, to our Freeper Border Intel.
Latest Freeper Border Intel = Latest FBI

Sorry, cannot agree that this administration is no different than Clinton administration.
Can you possible imagine the uprising if more overt action along the borders were used?
The low life lying liberals are setting up the prospect of total choas if we placed the military on the border. There is little doubt of the risk from our borders, however, to equate the Bush administration to Clinton administration cannot be possible.
Personally I believe this is the reason the Bush changed his mind and decided to go with Homeland Security Agency, in an effort to do some house cleaning of inbred socialist within the government bureaucracy.
Reason why the socialist liberals were so adament about requiring special union priviledges in the new agency, attempt to protect the inbred socialist within.

"..., in an effort to do some house cleaning..." It was Bush that dirtied up the house with his appointment of the pro-open borders, Libertarian, Ziglar to head the INS back in 8/2001.
Now Bush appoints Aguirre, a Cuban banker, and Asa Hutchison to run the Department of Immigration to, IYO, clean house?
IMO, Bush likes this particular house just the way it is, filthy beyond belief.

I read the Bonner article this a.m.
Kept waiting for the punch line where the reporter talks to Tom Tancredo, Dan Stein, Roy Beck or anyone who happens to live on the border, where they would laugh their butts off and roll on the floor listening to this stupefying drivel.
Never saw it. Apparently the reporter was happy to recycle Mr. Bonner's propaganda. So...I ended up laughing my butt off at him!!

"Our assignment is pretty simple: Keep terrorists and weapons of terrorism out of the United States; and while we've only begun to unify and integrate the federal agencies that will do the job, we are off to a good start," said Robert C. Bonner, Freaking liar. Talk to those that routinely enter illegally. It's a joke and so is Bonner. They can't even keep the tons of dope that enter our country routinely, each month...And I for one, will not be surprised if another well planned terrorist attack occurs in our country...After all, there are millions of people here illegally, we don't have a clue who they are, where they are, or what they are doing .....
The only thing that sealed better then ever is Bonners eyes....
