AL-QA’IDA'S WOMEN PLAN MAJOR ATTACK

Al-Qa’ida has established a women’s unit to carry out suicide bomb attacks, the London-based Arabic newspaper A-Sharq Al-Awsat reported today (Wednesday) on its website.

The groups says it is ready to carry out a major attack on mainland America.

The website quoted a woman named Umm Usama, who describes herself as the leader of the women fighters for the organization. She stated that Osama Bin Laden’s network established this unit after the organization recently decided to include women in its military actions.

“Islamic law permits the woman to stand by the man and to support him in the holy war [Jihad]” she stated, adding that the reason for this is an insufficient number of men and the increasing negligence of many of them.

When questioned about her role she stated “my duty is to supervise the training of the women fighters who belong to Al-Qa’ida and the Taliban.” She explained that their orders pass through various supervisors and that often these directions are instigated by Osama Bin Laden himself.

The idea of women warriors in the Muslim world is far from original. Umm Usama herself stated that past experience has even proved this method to be successful. Palestinian girls as well as Chechnyan women have successfully carried out “Martyr operations.”

The women’s network, she added, maintains communication via the internet.

She warned the U.S. that members of this new unit in Al-Qa’ida will be arriving very shortly, announcing that the unit is prepared to strike its first blow declared by their leader, a strike that will knock the September 11th attacks into oblivion.
