I would tend to agree. As far as I am concerned it is a question of intent.

If I place the POW's in an area where the public has easy access, this is a violation. If the public has to overcome obstacles to gain access, this is not a violation.

Allowing media access after capture to film interogations is a violation. Allowing the Red Cross to observe and photograph (document) is not.

Re: Highway to Hell

About a month ago, I stumbled upon a thread that described the original highway to hell (they had a different name for it, but essentially the same thing) from the first Gulf War. Someone had included a great description by P.J. O'Rourke and awesome pictures of the hundreds of vehicles destroyed while fleeing from Kuwait. I've searched and searched for it but to no avail. It was terrific reading.

U.S. SUCCEEDS IN TOPPLING CONNIE CHUNG

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told reporters at the Pentagon today that the U.S. has succeeded in removing Connie Chung from the airwaves, a primary objective of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

To those critics who would say that this campaign isnt moving quickly enough, let me say this: its only been a week and weve already gotten Connie Chungs show cancelled, Rumsfeld said. Goodness gracious, Id say were on track.
