The disturbing image of a dead child appeared Tuesday on dozens of Web sites of U.S. and British companies, becoming the latest example of an escalating barrage of anti-war Internet "hacktivism."
Since the war's start, several thousand Web sites have been defaced with anti-war images and slogans, Internet security experts say.

Is defacing a website supposed to change people's minds about the war? Is that the goal?

It's just mindless vandalism, nothing else. What more could you expect from these bozos?

I think these people just want attention and the approval of their peers. The world just isn't a real place to them. Not even after eight years of Clinton (my awakening) or 911 or even now (the awakening of some of the "human shields").
It is a sad thing, really. But pity shouldn't keep us from trying to defeat these people. Like in the Matrix.

The same question could be asked of blocking an intersection. These people aren't interested in a rational discussion of the issues. They just want to make continuance of this policy so odious that people will ask the government to change the policy. In effect, they are engaging in their own form of terrorism.

Approval of their peers is a big motivator.
It's a contest among liberals and leftists who can demonstrate the most hatred towards America.
