Yeah, but the rear is exposed. Leaving aside all the plays on words that this is begging for, the notion that a civilian like Stahl would presume not simply to ask a question: "could our rear be exposed?", but to flatly state to a former four-star General that "our rear is exposed" is so presumptiously stupid as to leave one breathless.
Does Stahl think for one second that the fact that we would have long supply lines didn't occur to our military planners? Pitiful.

Absolutely, 100% dead on! How arrogant! This would get you an F in Journalism 101. This is just the absolute worst.

Yeah, but the rear is exposed. If Bill Clinton was in charge, he might consider this good policy.

Rear is exposed? The Iraqis better start thinking about THEIR rear, it is getting awfully cramped. Iraq is not the old Soviet Union, there is no endless Asian rear area to keep supplying an endless guerrilla war. They have to protect Baghdad, because Saddam has nowhere else to run, and after it falls, the guerrillas will wither on the vine.

Yeah, but the rear is exposed. The only rear that was exposed was Stahl's and Colin kicked it hard.
