Shades of Big Brother (about whom -- you may remember -- Winston Smith says he does not know whether he is still alive or not)!
Actually, we have a closer analogy than Hitler: Saddam's model Stalin. I wonder why Stalin's lieutenants didn't pretend he was still alive after 1953. After all, there were actors available who had done a persuasive job of playing Stalin in movies.

Saddam is really a devotee of L. Ron Hubbard.

"Maybe it wasn't the real Dan Rather either" OMG! They're all being replaced by some kind of evil aliens! Perhaps that's what's happening to the democRATs. Sure would explain a lot.

A couple months ago some 'expert' said that the real Saddam hasn't been seen in years. The interviewers didn't respond and I never heard it again. Maybe he had something there.

"True, about the Koran written in blood, but what if he just pretended to do this, and it's actually someone else's blood?"He would never allow the Koran to be written in someone else's blood.
He relishes in the thought that his own blood has been used to write the words in the Koran.
I understand it is to be displayed in the newest biggest Mosque which is in the compound of one of his palaces.
I wonder if we bombed there?

This is not as far-fetched as it might sound (although that Weekend poster a few posts down is hilarious).
Couldn't the translators at the Rather Blather been involved in the conspiracy? Like post #4 said, it's a family business, with the family vested in seeing the regime remain. They could have coerced the Saddam Body Double and the translators into the "performance"......

Maybe der Furher is still alive. One of the supermarket tabloids said the 114 year old is still hiding in Argentina. LOL.
