[history]
We have a different understanding of women in the kitchen this week. Army Specialist Shoshana Johnson, a chef in the Army, is now one of the American POWs in Iraqi custody.
"I thought she was cooking," her aunt Margaret Henderson remarked on the "Today" show Monday. No such luck. Ms. Johnson and four male comrades were captured when their unit reportedly took a wrong turn near Nasiriya, south of Baghdad. Ms. Johnson's face has now been displayed to the Arab world as a propaganda trophy, testifying to some kind of a great Iraqi "victory."

Two women are being held, right? Or, was one of them killed?
May God bless their families as they go through this ordeal.

Newsflash, girls: In a war, lives are at risk, including the lives of women exercising their God-given right to serve in combat zones alongside the double-X sex. Huh?

Thought so. These women are much braver than I ever could be. And I am forever grateful for their sacrifice. I'm just a stay-at-home mother. They are defenders of freedom.

If the NOW hags would get on Saddam's case, he'd commit suicide to get out of the misery.
But then that would be helping George Bush. We can't save women's lives to let Bush win. Wouldn't be prudent. Nope.

Paraphrased from a fellow FReeper and my sentiments exactly:
As Travis said 2 days ago: Any nation that will send it's mothers and daughters to die in combat while able bodied fat lazy male college students lie about smoking dope and watching MTV....doesn't deserve to survive.
Unlike what the author of this article states, women in combat is an indulgence. Women not in combat is not a "luxury". Even in the worst hellhole civil wars I've seen firsthand from west Africa to Latin America, women are rarely used in combat. This is not a new "Eureka of an idea". History has proven it's a poor idea that anyone with common sense should recognize immediately. There is no "G-d given right" to it and fairness has nothing to do with fighting.

NOW can go fraq themselves. They don't care about women, they never cared about anything but abortion and keeping pro-lifers out of office. They are an abomination and they disgrace the whole female sex.

Thanks for your kind words.
Read your profile page... My son was born in Hampton, VA, at Langley AFB... he was a Navy brat for a short time, until his father got out of the Navy.

I saw Specialist Johnson's parents interviewed on NBC Tuesday evening, and their strength, faith, and dignity were truly moving. Her father retired from the Army and is a Gulf War Veteran, her mother works at Ft. Bliss, and her sister is a captain on active duty. Throughout the interview, they stressed their faith and family ties and comaraderie with fellow servicemen and families. They never complained or said a negative thing, and her mother even expressed her concern for the liason officer who nearly broke down while telling her the terrible news. They repeatedly stressed their hopes and concerns for not just their daughter, but all the prisoners and service people. They are a pillar of strength under the most terrifying circumstances imaginable, and exemplify the finest qualities of our service families. With people like this on our side, no dictator, terrorist, or other force of evil can prevail.

This is perfect.
The commie feminist wanted women in combat and on the battlefield, now they have it. What are they going to say now? Anything? These are the same ones who say all sex is rape, even in marriage.
The Now gang are Hypocritical idiots.
All I have to say is: God protect these female soldiers, give them strength, perseverence, and bring them home as soon as possible, as well as our male POWS, and give our government the guts, brains, and fortitude to keep our wives, mothers, and daughters out of harms way in any future conflicts.

If their daughter is anything like the famiily that has raised her, we have all be blessed by her service to her nation. May God bless this family, as they deal with this.
