Tehachapi,CA Support Our Troops Rally #3

We here in Tehachapi,CA are having another rally on Sunday, April 6th at 221 W. Tehachapi Bl. from 12:30 to 3pm. Every 2 weeks we will have a rally until our men and women return home. Our last weeks rally had more than 300 people and the news channel 17 from Bakersfield was there. I will be posting pics soon. GOD BLESS US AND OUR TROOPS!!!!

Way to go Tehachapi!

For you southern Californians who have never been there, Tehachapi is a beautiful little town on Highway 58, between Bakerfield and Mojave. Whenever the Ridge Route (I-5) is closed due to snow, Highway 58 through Tehachapi pass is a pleasant detour.

Geologists know about Tehachapi because it often mentioned in Professor Richter's book on seismology, because of the damage there in the 1952 7.7 magnitude earthquake. Railroad hobbyists know Tehachapi because of the famous "Loop." Health buffs know it for its clean mountain air.

It's a great place. It gets the Capitan_Refugio "stamp of approval."

For anyone who's interested, I have one of the hundreds of pages on the web with photos of the Tehachapi Loop. Mine is at Tehachapi Loop. Freepers interested in taking a short vacation to southern California and attending the rally can see some neat stuff in the area. In addition to the loop, I've enjoyed spending an afternoon at Red Rock Canyon State Park which is an hour or two from Tehachapi.
