it's true. god is not neutral. which might be part of why it is that some countries free others, while some countries have to spend their time warning their citizens not to drink their own pee.

'God is Not Neutral'

I know. He is on our side any time we are fighting fascist dictators and defending ourselves, as we are now.

the power and authority of the United Nations, as limited as they already are.

Another blind ignorant fool that would like to serve a global dictatorship. It is no wonder such sub-human scums submit to a murderous thug like Saddam so easily, they have no interest in freedom whatsoever, zero self-respect.

ALL of the Saddam supporters must pay.

"Although United States President George W. Bush has told the world that "God is not neutral", the fact is that Pope John Paul II and almost all of the world's religious leaders oppose this war. Who can actually interpret the Lord's designs?"

If you study the Bible, you can learn about the Lord's designs. It isn't a mystery, and you do not need a Pope, priest or pastor to point the way. Pray to God and He will answer you.

What do you want to be that the author is generally anti-God and only pulls this gem out of their stack, to attack?

As far as I know, God doesn't make deals. God makes Commandments and just about the only promise that God makes is that each and every one of us is given a way to escape this world and then account for ourselves.

The real danger lies in the fact that this invasion is increasingly appearing to be a patriotic war for the Iraqi people.

If this were true, then why indeed would it be incumbent [as it appears to be judging by world opinion] on the US and its allies to guarantee the safety of Iraqi civilians?

The responsibility for the safety of Iraqi citizens should be in the hands of the Iraqi government. That it isn't--that indeed the Iraqi government has taken active steps to endanger its own people--destroys any claim to legitimacy it may ever have had.

Politics makes for strange bedfellows. The "internationalists" position seems to be that "international law" should support this kind of lawlessness.

God is not neutral...ask the folks of Saddam and Gomorrah
Or those who didnt have an Ark
Or those who Kidnapped Abrams nephew Lot
Or those Egyptians who were decimated by Moses
Or those who Challanged King David
Or Solomon
Or Prophets of Baal and their Wicked Witch Jezebel defeated by God through Elijah
The Works of the Saints
The Death and Resurection of the Lord Jesus Christ
The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob who have seen His people through many trials tribulations wars and abominations for kings..
And you aint seen nothing yet...
He is coming back for the great Judgment...where we all will be witness to his awefull and mighty power and his righteous judgement where all will see once and for all
That God IS Not Neutral - Nor Is He Tolerant

On the other side, a country whose people have suffered more than ten years of daily bombings and the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives...

Couple things...

First, do some constructive thinking before you confuse the Iraqi military and the Iraqi civilians. Which one is "the other side"?

Second, is it just me or does he need grammar lessons?

"The leaders of any country who are not to the liking of imperialism - no matter how ethical their conduct or how just their cause - could be toppled and murdered at its whim, in accordance with the decisions of its politicians, who are
so often venal and corrupt."

Saddamn good and Bush bad?

"God is not neutral"

Absolutely true.  The real question is, "Who's side are you on?"  I prefer His side.  A more troubling question is whether the United States is on His side.  Unfortunately, actions in our government (thanks largely to the liberals) lately doesn't look so good.  Regardless, as my pastor has said, "God favors the U.S. over Iraq in this conflict."

How do you know for sure?  Refer to your Bible.

As far as the world's religious leaders as concerned I have one question.  Who's god are you praying to?  I saw one interview with a Catholic priest that would not accept that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.  If you can't accept the basic premise of Christianity, what are you doing being a Catholic let alone a priest?!?!

How will it change?

When EVERY knee shall bow, and EVERY tongue confess, that JESUS CHRIST is LORD! THAT's how--and when--it will change. (and it may be a whole lot sooner than we think!)

Clearly, there's no alternative for humanity but to change its course. How will it change? What new forms of political, economic and social life should be adopted? This is the most difficult question to answer, but the responsibility lies with human beings. This is the challenge humanity faces today.

The unspoken complaint (and agenda) being over which segment of humanity should chart that course change, and what compass should be used to determine the desired direction.

Democracy, capitalism, libertarianism.
You're welcome.
