Just monitored on Sky News: embedded reporter says Shiites in Basra have begun, in his words, a "popular uprising" against the Saddam forces still in the city. British Army units are "pouring" artillery into the city (likely isolated areas) preparing to move in.

Good news for the US.
Bad news for the NYT and ABC.

If your claim is true, then we will see more of these "uprisings" in other cities that show strong resistance.

Why should I go to hell??
I'm making a critique of the news media.
Perhaps you should read the thread before making an ass out of yourself.

Any more info for us cubically challenged? Yes...you need to work a little harder so you can have a closed door, plush, office; preferably with a TV connected to a dish.
(just kidding)

You were saying that "Islam" is like "Nazism."
I was pointing out the error in your thinking.

Today's allies can be tomorrow's enemies and vice versa.
Now that the UN is irrelevant and after Powell weeds the rats out of the state department, there will be changes how we respond to nations when this war on terrorism is over.
Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, the ChiComs, and Turkey will have a very rough decade as they choose unwisely in this situation.
Well our choices be perfect? No! We will make them.

"This is great news for Allied Forces and very bad news for the Saddam regime." Well, this may turn out to be bad news for Christians living in Iraq. Shiite Muslims do not tolerate other religions very well.

do you need a hug? Based on previous posts I've seen from that individual, I'd say this is more a case of sexual frustration than hug deprevation.

Even retired General Clark seems so negative and defeatist. He's planning to run for President as a Dem. 'Nuff said!

SAS is the term that both the UK and Aussie Spec Ops are given.
The wife of one of my DIl's best friend is married to a former SAS office with action in DS I. He and my son have zero tolerance for left wingers who are in love with the Soddomites and Islamofacists.
Apparently in WWII, the Aussies trained our OSS people in survial skills and other skills before our OSS people went behind enemy lines in the Pacific.
Those 2,000 Aussie SAS are worth about 80 billion frogs, krauts and Ivans. Also, we can turn our back and not get a knife in the back from the SAS.

I don't agree with Kissinger and DID NOT like him when he worked for Nixon. Notice Reagan didn't use him.

God Bless those Shiites. May the Good Lord look over each and every one of them.
Death, death, death to Saddam!

And I notice one William Jefferson Clinton was in charge then. (BTW, this was much later than 1991). The adults are in charge now.

What is the makeup of the Fedayeen(sp?) Saddam? Who are they?

General Wesley Clark wants to a) run for President or b) be tapped for Vice President. CNN is giving him free face time as a trial balloon for the Democrats.
He's a loser bureacrat who is ticked off that Gore lost.
FOX showed a clip of Clark being asked a question by a reporter and he used his cell to ask CNN if he could answer.
CNN said no so he said no and walked on.
Clark would be the stooge of CNN as vice president.

You were saying that "Islam" is like "Nazism." I should have been more clear -- I was using the term "Nazi" in a general context to describe the enemy of the United States in one of the particular wars that the poster described.
