Uprising By Shiites in Basra Underway; British Pouring Artillery into City

Just monitored on Sky News: embedded reporter says Shiites in Basra have begun, in his words, a "popular uprising" against the Saddam forces still in the city. British Army units are "pouring" artillery into the city (likely isolated areas) preparing to move in.

Oh yes, I watch Fox almost exclusively. It's only when a huge story like this breaks that I check out CNN and MSNBC to see how they're covering it.

Think about this: If Iraq wanted to demoralize the US by beaming subversive propaganda disguised as legitimate cable news into the country, how different would it look from CNN?

The point is that CNN has been trying so hard to be what it considers objective, it's become unmoored from reality and has effectively assumed an anti-US position.
