Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.

In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:

"Germany overextended resources. Stalled in seige and was routed.
You ever hear of air resupply?"
Woaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Hold on there.
Iraq is the ones who face Germany's problem in Stalingrad. Isolated in the city, NO air supply. No weapons nor reloads. No friendly relief troops.
Germany at least had discipled troops and 80-150 tons per day of air supply: now, we can bring more in just a few C-17 loads than they could in a week using 2 engine Junkers and the very slow Mamouth glider/6 engine jobs!
BUT WE DON'T HAVE TO USE AIR SUPPLY.
The US/UK forces aren't isolated in the center of the city and don't need to fight into the city to win.
We only need to make sure Saddamn doesn't get out. (Alive.)

I never did hear from Ollie....or Kelly today. I was offline for a couple hours earlier though. The only field reports I caught were from the guy in the north(can't remember his name) and Leventhal.

Another thread is stating that the Iraqis have actually counterattacked the Brits in Basra and they have called in air support. Apparently the 51st is alive and well (for now). How much you wanna bet the next Iraqi that raises a white flag is getting cuffed and dragged back to Kuwait?

I have jumped it. Its not Desert Rock, thats in Nevada, but similar name. Its used for heavy/light rotations at NTC and its wear the "light" guys jump.
You CANNOT Air drop a tank, a Bradley or any other Armor larger than a Sheridan. The Sheridan was never really a tank it was an Armore recon vehicle made of Aluminum.

I'd bet that the next white flag get's a nice 5.56mm hole through the middle of it.
