Its not immpossible, but about as likely as dropping a nuke. You just aren't going to supply and Armored unit larger than a platoon by airdrop. Its just logistically stupid.

Hmmm. I seem to remember helping survey a drop at Ft. Irwin of armor. Operation Gold Star I think it was, 1981 maybe. Just to show Ivan we could do it. Armor Division I beleive it was. I didn't go on actual drop, roomie did but it made the news.

Ever been in combat? Those of us who have KNOW how heavy we would get at the first sign of trouble. We've been easy on them so far(in the south). Ever hear of reserves? We have plenty in Kuwait.We are winning 'hearts and minds' as we go. Not that we have to convince the people that we are fighting Saddam, but that we are going to stay 'til he's gone.

Many of these pockets of resistance will be eliminated by the LOCAL Iraqis once they know Saddam is out of the picture. We will have probs later keeping the normal citizens from killing Saddam's thugs.

OK Humor break:

Anyone remember when Rush was doing that thing about who would play the various characters in the movie about Gulf War 1 right after it was over? People would call in with suggestions for appropriate persons to play various roles. Funniest was when someone suggested the guy (name escapes me) who set himself on fire to "call attention to the plight of the homeless" to play the part of the duststorm.

Am I the only one weird enough to remember that?

So at least put on clean pillow cases and clean towels in the bathroom. Oh yeah, check out the kitchen floor for what you have spilled. Three rooms are important to my wife, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. When those are clean the vaccuming and dusting can wait a day or so.
