Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Next class, ask him to produce the picture. I don't believe the two have ever met. He isn't my professor, I just overheard the two of them talking. I don't recall what position Rummy held in the Reagan Administration, but I think it's possible that he and Saddam met over plans for Iran.
Haven't ever seen a picture, it might not exist, but it wouldn't bother me if one showed up.

You forget Clinton and Arafat, shaking hands right after he made Arafat wait outside while he masturbated in the sink over Monica.
Both Clinton(s) and the Chinese dictators who paid their way into the White House and governor's mansion..
Carter and the NK dictators.

For the last two days I have been hearing military analyst on Fox and MSNBC -- cannot vouch for CNN because I refuse to watch them -- talk about how we are being too cautious in our air strikes, we have our supply lines stretched too thin, we are going around towns and then having trouble with our rear echelons, etc.
Well Shepherd Smith is talking to the military analyst (bald headed guy on Fox -- outstanding IMO) and says that when Blair comes over he expects Pres Bush to tell him that the days of surgical strikes are over and we are going full force after Saddam and his regime. Shepherd Smith left the impression that some of our reluctance to take our some targets is because of Tony Blair and his not wanting to get civilians killed.

How far out of baghdad are Karbala and Al Kut? I've been looking on the map threads but haven't found one that shows those two.

But things aren't looking that good. Basra and Umm Qsar are still not safe and secure. The 51st had resurrected, with tanks and artillery through out the town. The Commander they let go is in charge. Wouldn't be surprised if they had aid from across the border.
The syncronized assault on Baghdad is running out of steam.
Forward units are exhausted, streched thin and supply lines are shakey. RG is imbedded in towns and communities, suburbia, residential areas. Homes with a tank in the driveway, AAA on the roof and families inside the houses.
Regulars command irregulars in all towns bypassed. Secondary convoys and supplies are being attacked.
If the advance columns are cut off in bad weather conditions they become sitting ducks on a frozen pond.
Stalingrad all over again.

Well I'm glad to hear that President Bush is not afraid to take the lead and do what needs to be done ..
I was listening to the radio in the car during the press briefing and the reporters kepted asking why we aren't taking out more targets .. the didn't seem to care if they were in civilian areas or not

Good cop/bad cop?
To: nwpatriot
roger that. It is not unthinkable to use low yield tac nukes on RG postions for the ultimate shock and awe if Iraq deploys chem rounds.

Wednesday night! Actually I am not surprised either. I had a bad feeling about this the week before we launched our attacks when Rumsfeld made his famous comments about the UK. Something was up then for him to say that.
