Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

My goal is for all these 'reality' type shows to go away. The only way that's going to happen is if people stop watching them! I chastise the other two women at work every week about watching those shows. Joe Millionaire was the worst by far, with Fear Factor a close second. Ughhh....

I heard today that the two hockey announcers on Hockey Night In Canada got in a fight over the war on camera. Don Cherry was for the war and Ron Mclane? said we shouldn't be there since Iraq never attacked us. "Grapes" (Cherry) lit him up from what the report said. Way to go Grapes.

Talked to a friend of mine today who's the security guy at this factory. His boss called him into the office today and asked him if he was was a Democrat. He said ''blank no, I'm not a black democrat.'' His boss said ''I guess I'll have to fire you then. I can't have a Republican guard here.''

Seems like we are using a heck of a lot more artillery now than in Desert Storm. I saw where they fired 100 artillery shells at one position, with all the planes in the air why not drop one precision guided bomb on the position.

Major General Paul Vallely. Personally, I think Fox got him when they called up Central Casting and asked for a retired Marine Major General.

Funny you should say that. I think he was in the movie "Copy Cat." If it isn't him, it is his twin brother.

AFN Korea has either CNN or PMSNBC on breaking events, and I've been surprised at MSNBC's patriotic graphics/slogans. (WHY AFN doesn't have FOX as their only source, I don't know, but I'm wearing out my keyboard with e-mail requests for them to do so.)
We lived in Germany for three years (just moved back last summer) and I emailed, wrote letters to the editor of the Stars and Stripes and practically begged but no Fox News Channel. I still think they have Clinton folks in management.
