Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Haven't heard anything on FNC.
To: SoldiersGirl
Didn't you hear? All of the Polish jokes have been permanently transferred to the french.
To: Dog
My sound is out again, but the atmosphere seems to be clearing up, can see lights out on the horizon again.
To: Dog
I didn't know you could hear my screams all the way to NJ!
To: EaglesUpForever

To: ican'tbelieveit
OH, sound out because my status was "waiting." Back now after restarting it.
To: SoldiersGirl
OK, here is one from an unknown freeper.
How many poles does it take to capture a bridage of Iraqis?
Two, one to hold the gun and the other to handcuff the prisoners.

You know, it's a good turn in the world to give an honorable recognition to Polish forces. It bodes well for the course of the former Communist bloc nations.

What saddens me is that there must be a small minority in France that is actually sane. They must be cowering in their apartments around now, afraid to go out. I hope some day they can take back that country, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
To: abnegation
the sounds on the PMS webcam ARE really spooky. I think the call to prayer is going to send me over the edge. *shudder*

The quarter pounder in France is called the royale because quarter pounder doesn't make any sense with the metric system. Awww, c'mon. They could call it the 0.1133981 kilogrammer.
Or the 114 grammer, for short.

Must have been that winter we supposed to have a while back in Afghanistan.

Fortunately, I'm 100% American from London stock...my ancestors came here during/after the Revolution. Back to around 1725, everyone was named Jon or Jonathan.
After 1787, they have names like George Washington Barnard and Benjamin Franklin Barnard, etc.

Awfully noisy neighborhood at 1:00am.

The problem in all of this is that the "barbarians" have the "civilized" countries at odds with one another. I don't know what is driving these countries to side with nations that will obviously never side with them and probably seek a continued jihad against them. I guess the only thing they all have in common is hatred of the Jewish.

All of the Polish jokes have been permanently transferred to the french. ROTLFMAO... this has to be the best francophage joke yet!

That dog was yelping. Did not sound good at all.

the 114 grammer just doesn't ring of hot cheesy meaty goodness.
