Moran is going after Ari about the starving Iraqis and why haven't we gotten humanitarian aid in there yet like Bush promised. Ari explaining the mining operation by the Iraqis, etc. Did we underestimate the difficulty and resistance?

The shells hit the ground and the tank: those that miss get buried several feet underground in the sand and dirt. Only those that hit rock have any chance of breaking up.

Some minor bit of dust stays in the tank when explosions occur after the tank rounds blow up and burn. (The DU rounds themselves are inert metal with NO explosive force in the shell.)

A little bit of the DU (out of the little bit that is actually radioactive (THESE THINGS ARE DEPLETED U238 - Not "highly radioactive" by any means!) doesn't get buried in the ground and a little bit of that might get spread around.
