I think the fact that we've been here for 6 days discussing the war to all ends says a lot for our ability to focus. If I don't take a moment out to focus on something else, I might have a meltdown. Please do not, for one iota of a second, doubt my complete and total heartwrenching concern and sympathy for every single soldier fighting for me. I am completely aware of their situation, more so than you are I'm sure. That does not mean that I lose my right to have a little bit of humor in an otherwise joyless day.

There's been no mention publically by our govn't that Russia has sold IR equipment to Iraq. They've only mentioned NVG's, JDAM jammers, and anti-tank missiles.

Didn't Powell say in the interview today with Brit that reports of the Turks moving troops into northern Iraq are false and that has not happened? I thought I heard him say that.

news is that 4th ID starts moving out in the very near future. 1st Cav to follow right behind..I wish them Godspeed because the 3rd ID needs them.
