We are not here at JR's expense,,I do think we contribute money. And the problem here is that who is to determine what is "to much" silliness other than a self appointed one. CNN reporting that we just blew up one of our patriot missle batteries in southern Iraq. Apparently one of our planes throught it was a SAM cite.

Unfortunately, the only way that Europe will accept a "new" friendship with the US is if we grovel - hence the extended offer to the EU / UN that they can be involved later!

How often does America need to offer the hand of friendship to Europe? Have we not done that the last 100 years or so? As you aptly state, Europe cut off thier nose to spite thier face. They have done this repeatedly and America has always been there to clean up after them. I say it's time we let them pick themselves up instead of relying on us.

Well, just put in the discard pile, as Cheney, by all reports is doing just fine and has been photographed frequently with President Bush in the last few day.

How or why you would posit he is ill as a plausible reason for his absence from this morning's appearance by President Bush defies all logic.

Why exactly do we need them? Their GDP continues to fall while the Vilnius(sp?) 10 continues to expand their economies and take advantage of the situation.

France and Germany need us tremendously but it is not the same situation for us. France wants power and thus their present stance.

We've waited for "behavior" changes from France since 1949 to no avail. They continue to become more socialistic in their government and more broke.

Finally, no smart state department EVER "severs" the relationship with another country. However, the President is absolutely right in FREEZING France and Germany out of any post-war world.

Both Teenie Tommy and Bella Pelosi have been quieted down but Hillary is playing her money war drum so she can attempt to upset the tax cuts.

Hillary is not as clever as she thinks she is and I don't think she will succeed in killing the tax cuts.

I saw a report early today that the Kurds were reporting a large number of troops unloading from commercial jets in Northern Iraq. I wonder who they are....where's their equipment?

TSA wouldn't let them carry them on...
