Mother said that protestors are not helping out the families whao have loved ones, this is not Vietnam/this is a voluntary Army. The protestors don't care about our people in combat.
BTW, what is CNN?
To: submarinerswife
I'm impressed that CNN had allowed their views on air. I get the impression that some of their journalist would have be asking some pretty tormenting, leading questions to provoke a highly painful and emotional response. Prayers for the families and their loved ones.

In this image from video shown on Al-Jazeera television, on Monday, March 24, 2003, Chief Warrant Officer Ronald D. Young Jr., 26, from Georgia, is seen. Young is one of a two-man crew believed to be aboard an Apache helicopter that was allegedly forced down during heaving fighting Sunday night in central Iraq (news - web sites). Yes. The mom was great! Reporter quickly went to rest of family when she talked about the "hurtful" peace protesters.

Just wait until Katie Colic gets ahold of one of the family members: "I can sense that you are in pain. What method of death would you choose for our President?"
To: submarinerswife
This is amazing to me. The press never wastes any time in hunting these families down.
I'm really surprised the families talked to them. If it was my husband, any nosey reporters poking around would be met with a shotgun.

I think these talked to point out the protestors are violating citizens' rights by interfering with peoples' right of free movement, free speech and other basic rights, not to mention the costs of resource deviation, such as paying police & fire to be on hold during protests due to protestors going beyond the realm of merely free speech.

2/3 of those who served during the Vietnam War were volunteers. 2/3 of those who served in WWII were draftees. The protestors don't give a rats a** about the military. It's Bush that they're b****ing about.

I saw it, CNN got a lot more than they bargained for from that American family.
Our prayers are with them and their son.

the two-man crew believed to be aboard an Apache helicopter that was allegedly forced down during heaving fighting Sunday night in central Iraq BS. This Apache had mechanical difficulty BEFORE they got to the attack. Why else would they still have their missiles?
Forced down, my ass.

I saw those reports about the mechanical failure landing too. My caption was not meant to dispute that fact. I really wanted to add them to the thread with that AP report. I doubt any of our POWs will make it out alive. These threads are really kinda historic now.

This young man is what is great about America! Indeed. And it's clear he comes from good stock.

I hope you are wrong. I guess I must be living in a dream land because I keep hoping the Delta Force will drop in and spirit them all away. I know it's not that easy though.
My thoughts are with them and their families. This has to be hard.
