The antiwar demonstrators in Richmond (same time yesterday) drew 2500 according to their own estimates.

And the RTD says they had ARRESTS at theirs. Pinging the ones I know who attended to this rally report. There's also an account in the NYT posted as well!

I've been to the Anti-American Rallies in DeeCee where they "estimated" there to be 40,000 folks and I was here at Richmond's "Rally FOR America!!" and we had MORE folks than they did, but I'd estimate the number to be between 12,000 and 15,000, not including those who turned away becuz there simply was nowhere to park!!

I heard Governor Warner rode in on a bike...that was a smart move, IMHO!! I parked at the Elks' Lodge and walked through the woods towards the noise only to emerge behind the stage to be frisked and bag search'd by Henrico's Finest fer "finding a shortcut"...luckily, I'm one of the GoodGuys...LOL!!

Great day, great time...let's do it again...SOON!!

The usual suspects at the "peace" rally broke windows and were runing out in front of cars, drunk in public, etc....
Quite a contrast to the decent folk at the RFA.

It ticked me off that RTD gave that small rally of miscreants "equal time", so to speak - matching photo size and column length; there was no real comparison between the two. And maybe its just me, but I detected a bit of a snarky tone in the reporting of RFA.

Mud, there's a nice pic of the Richmond rally on the front page of the WT times today. Their website doesn't do photos. Is there a bookstore where you can buy the WT in Richmond? It looks like one of the ones taken when the crowd had their flags held high and it's a keeper. Is there a link to our after action report on this thread? I can't make one on this goofy computer I'm on.

Unfortunately, once you get off Ross MacKenzie's editorial page at the RTD, it's as bad as any other newspaper. My guess is it went downhill when Media General purchased it. The WT is the only readable newspaper in America that I know of.

"The antiwar demonstrators in Richmond (same time yesterday) drew 2500 according to their own estimates."

Even their own people admitted to the Richmond Times-Dispatch that there were no more than 700 folks there, and I drove by Monroe Park after our Rally was over in order to take some pictures and check out the ANTI-America, PRO-Tyranny, PRO-Soddom folks near VCU and they were serving food for the homeless two blocks from the DailyPlanet homeless shelter and AT LEAST half--homeless and GrungeLeftist folks tend to look very similar, BTW--the folks they included within that 700 number were homeless folks there fer a free sandwich, chips and soda. The riot police were there in full anti-riot gear and the signs these young UsefulIdiots were sporting included such imaginative slogans as "Bongs, NOT Bombs!!"

The DemonRAT anti-American Left is more pitiful than I can put into words...MUD

Excellent! This, along with the stark contrast of the peaceful & patriotic rallies, is what more Americans need to see.

If this was an anti-war rally, it would have been reported as "Tens of thousands."
