And while you're at it, add my son, CLAYTON LANKFORD, 2-118th Infantry, soon to be plucked from William & Mary and sent to Gitmo to keep the dirtbags in their place! Thanks! (And if my unit gets called up, I'll immodestly add my own name. But I'm sure you won't mind!)
Our Father in Heaven,
We are grateful to learn of the commitment to this nation and the holy cause of Freedom of this family. We pray that these young people entering into battle will be surrounded by as many legions of angels as is required to keep them safe, secure, and victorious. Grant their families peace and sure knowledge that their precious sons and daughters, their greatest treasure, is in your loving care and attention.
We ask that our prayers will serve as an additional layer of kevlar over them. Clear the way before them as they encounter danger and let them be guided by you in their actions under stress so that the enemy actions cannot find them. This which we call forth for these young people and their families, we call forth for all our troops and their loved ones. We are grateful Lord, in a paraphrase of the words of our President this day, that Liberty has found such brave defenders.
