Troop Prayer Thread 3

A number of us have recently decided to form an active prayer circle here to pray for our Troops. We have many fine young men and women known to us here at FreeRepublic.com serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce and Coast Guard. Several on our troop list to date actually are registered in the forum, and have become known to us personally among the constellation of Freepers.

If you would like to submit someone for our list, you are welcome to do so at any time. Post their name or pseudonym here on the thread or freepmail amom or myself. If we have made any errors, please let us know so that we may correct the list. We will be making periodic updates.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers, special visuals that seem particularly approprieate, and non-moving graphics. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind words, sakka. I'm so grateful for you and the many prayer warriors who have decided to band together here before the Lord in a united front for our troops. Glory to God for all the good stuff.

Thank you for reporting to us about the prayer point out of Fredericksburg, Virginia near Quantico! How comforting it is to know that so many prayers are being offered for God's will to be done in this conflict.

THank you for posting the information about that prayer time for Shoshawna Johanson for noon eastern standard time. Unfortunately, as I look at my clock right now, I realize I have missed that particular opportunity, but prayers are still up for this particular young woman.

Prayers up for your friend's son, Sgt. Andrew J. with the 101st Airborne in Iraq and another friend's son, Stephen M. with the USAF somewhere in Kuwait area.

Our Father, enfold in your loving care and attention along with our prayers the lives of Andrew and Stephen. These fine young men are much loved by their families and friends. Send our love to them and sustain them with that love. Preserve them in battle, Lord, and grant them and their buddies your miraculous intercession in the face of danger and forces which would seek to take from them life or limb. Father, grant these and all our young men and women comfort, clarity, and equanimity in the face of exhaustion and extreme stress, safety in battle, and victory in their missions. This which we call forth for Andrew and Stephen, we call forth for all our fine young people under arms. Amen

Our Father,

You have called Jeff and Steven to be Marines. Guide them as they undertake to answer that calling in a time of war and danger. Bless them and let them know the thanks of a grateful nation for their willingness to put their lives on the line to secure the safety and freedom of this nation and the liberation of a captive nation. Father, keep them safe, and guide them. Send legions of angels to protect them and guard them at all times. Sustain them with your light and love and our prayers. Give them ease of mind and heart so that they may concentrate at all times on the jobs they have before them. This which we call forth for Jeff and Steven we call forth for all their brothers and sisters under arms. Amen.

A heartfelt thank you for all your prayers for our troops, especially the captured, VHAW. We join you in those prayers. Thank you for coming by and being instrumental in the increase of God's power flowing through our little cyber prayer circle. It is a wondrous thing to be able to place all of these grave concerns upon the altar knowing that the LORD will indeed intercede according to His will and timing.

Father, surround Textide's cousin in the 1st Marines with your love and protection. Grant him alertness and a sense of timing which will keep him safe. Pierce any darkness or fogginess of mind or heart with your light and penetrating love. We commend him into your keeping and the watch of a legion of angels over him. We are grateful for his service as a Marine and we ask that he will at some level be sustained by the knowledge that he is supported by the prayers of his countrymen. This which we call forth for this one precious Marine, we call forth for all our brave troops. Amen
