A U.S. Army infantry soldier faces towards north in the direction of Baghdad as he stands guard in the south of the city of Najaf in central Iraq (news - web sites), March 23, 2003. The U.S. Army announced that they faced about 100 local people, including soldiers and members of the Baath party, in a heavy gunfight last night, before the Najaf area could be secured.

Even with the local thugs, the Baathists could only gather up a hundred.
I have a feeling this is coming to a swift and sure conclusion so decided that that will be the true shock and awe.
