Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...
TOPICS: Breaking News; Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events; War on Terror

Lautenberg is such a jerk. "We just want to know what it will cost"? Oh, this is rich coming from a socialist that never cares what crappy gov't program will cost as long as it traps more people into the system.
Democrats are such worthless sub-humans. I'd rather spend $75-100 billion more this year to defend our country and our freedom than waste it in a ponzi scheme (Soc Sec) or failed government programs or bureaucratic waste.
I sure wish people would wake up and start questioning the wasted spending.

May Saddam Rot In Hell
Thu Mar 20, 9:00 AM ET A U.S. Seabee (U.S. construction soldier ) prays in a full biological and chemical protective suit in a bunker after a warning of a second scud attack fired from Iraq (news - web sites) towards their base in Kuwait Thursday

So what's your best guess as to why missiles of any length were found at a "chemical plant"? I guess I missed something. I wasn't aware that these missiles were found at the plant. That changes the algorithm somewhat. I thought the missiles were found elsewhere.
The other thing to remember is that it doesn't take only missiles to deliver chemistry. Artillery have been Saddam's delivery method of choice before.

The only book Saddam is going to be writing is "How to die in the first Minute of a War" LOL! My laugh for the night.
To: Ramius
You didn;t miss anything -- the Missiles were found in a plant outside Basra not in the Chemical Plant in An Najaf

Even with the local thugs, the Baathists could only gather up a hundred.
I have a feeling this is coming to a swift and sure conclusion so decided that that will be the true shock and awe.
