"I know they make replacement knees. Do they make replacement shoulders too? You're gonna need one if you go past about 100 rds with that 03A3."
Here's how it went:
Bang!... Ouch...
Bang!... Ooooowwww!
Bang!... Ouch...
Bang!... Owwwwww!
Repeat as necessary.
Damned accurate rifle.

You're gonna need one if you go past about 100 rds with that 03A3. Keep it pulled in tight to your shoulder and you will be fine. If worse comes to worse, just wear a sissy-pad. They have some slim ones that will fit under your shirt. Large maxi-pads (unused) stuck to the inside of your shirt can work well also.

Been shootin' a 1903A3, eh?
They're heavy, solidly constructed.
We used them for drill rifles (practice weapons were simple black iron, competition weapons were chromed out - neither "live" though) back at A&M in the Fish Drill Team and Ross Volunteers.
Still carry a few scars from "catching" a thrown rifle solidly "on the chin" vice firmly "in the hand."
