Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Oh man, one of the army guys that died in a non combat accident was only 19.

Reports are that we intercepted communications giving the order to use Chem weapons when our troops reached a certain point.

I'd presume we're monitoring their communications
Al Jazera says Iraqis denying that we're within 60mi of Baghdad.

If nobody answered the question about the distance of a click, I can help.

Rick Leventhal, pt. 3: "Some are prone on the ground, weapons at the ready...because of figures we saw off on the distance...they're concerned so they have moved Marines into position...and we're sitting here....rifles at their shoulder, siting...across a flat field...off in the distance...sort of mud huts...a couple hundred meters off in the distance....this has been happening on a semi-regular basis...I'm told there are three or four guys in dark clothing...off in the distance...if you let them go...they just might take out one vehicle as we pass by...they might take out some Marines...visibility is not as good as it's been...it's colder and very windy...(are you packing?) no, I'm not...that would cross the line from non-combatant to combatant...I'm not prepared to do that...craziest moment...that first night, back on Thursday...mortar fire...over our heads...landed nearby ...shower of sparks...that was pretty scary...Given e-mail message from FoxNews fan, for Rick: "Tell him to kick butt and take names." Rick laughs, says..."tell 'em I'm definitely delivering that message...daily."
Night, everyone!

Thank you for being so thorly appreciative!
Woden it be nice if the liberals could think?
But be series, their train of logic got disreali'ed at the prime minister's station in London.

Man, I'm getting tired of looking at that parking garage, or office, or what ever is on FOX from that fixed camera in baghdad. Sheesh, spin the thing 90 degrees.
To: SoldiersGirl
What accident was this?
To: SoldiersGirl
Yeah, I shudder to think that such a young man was fighting, Im almost 18 and in highschool, to think he's just over a year older than me and my friends is surreal, It's amazing how dedicated and brave they are for their age
To: SoldiersGirl
Rick just said that he is not packing any heat .. says it crosses the line of combatant and non combatant
Then Shep asked him what would happen if he was caught is a cross fire fight ..

Man, I'm getting tired of looking at that parking garage, or office, or what ever is on FOX from that fixed camera in baghdad. I see it when my eyes are closed. Is that a sign of addiction?

Ya bracketed the 4000 target ------- AGAIN! But close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
That's horseshoes, hand grenades, and nuclear warfare...
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
