Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Good grief! It is amazing the nasty questions these press pukes are asking. They are all so anti-American!

The media is trying to find data to support their anti-war objectives.

Sounds like he thinks the tape is a fake "some people believe what they want to believe"
To: AppyPappy

A fully functioning Brain!
For reporters, their brain and mouth can operate totally independent of each other.

Yes, I noticed that too. Might also apply to the stupid press. They believe a load of crap no matter what their own eyes tell them.

And we are thankful that they don't have access to all the information. Imagine the heart failure rates at seeing the entire picture!

Gen. Franks said he started to tell a joke in answer to the question about the latest Saddam video... betchya it was an Elvis joke!
He said he didn't even watch it. Must mean it's entirely irrelevant to his concerns. Hmmm.

The media didn't hate George the First as much. All they want is to damage George the Second. By any means necessary. I bet they are cheering every casualty

Speaking of media squashing, I'm 14 hours ahead of EST, so when I went to bed last night that bizarre "shot down pilot" Iraqi "reality TV" was on. Woke up to the awful Al Jezeera video and focus was on that today. Was anything else ever said about that Iraqi media circus of shooting up a river and burning the reeds by the Tigris?
Tommy is such a re-assuring, calming person to listen to as I head to bed. The reporters are NOT, but listening to him smack them down is worth it. ;)

Q: What's the result of the embedded program?
A: I'm a fan of it.
To: SaucyCranberry
Welcome to FR. The "shoot down" was exposed as a circus.
I agree about Gen. Franks.
