These thugs fight by a different set of rules, and unless we are willing to get down and dirty (including taking out civilians), we are going to take more casualtiesAbsolutely. I am so tired of being held to a standard 18 levels higher than anyone else.
Why are they still able to function, make video tapes and get them to Al Jazeera? I say flatten that city.

Bush should have stuck to the origional, and foolproof, plan to shock and awe them into surrender and this would have been over in 48 hours - just like the first time. But no, he played politics with the whole thing wanting to come away as the great humanitarian who took Iraq without firing a shot or losing a life on either side and now it has cost us big time.

This humanitarian shit with the enemy must end right now. The Republican Guard has chosen to fight. Wipe all of them out.

Absolutely. I am so tired of being held to a standard 18 levels higher than anyone else.
It's our own standard and it's the right one. There's no doubt about moral authority and moral superiority in this conflict, which is exactly the way it should remain.
We are known for this and all the surrendering forces are counting on it. It helps us in this way and it's the morally correct & legal position to boot.

This kind of stuff is going to continue to happen as long as we try to fight a PC war. These were rear eschelon logistical troops far behind the combat elements and they were not really protected. Most probably, the enemy force that captured/killed these support troops, were the very enemy troops that were allowed to just "melt" away. We figured, wrong, that they had surrendered/capitualated.
Our commmand elements had better take another look at how we are conducting this campaign. Frankly, I'm troubled with some of the things I'm seeing. Too much is being taken for granted.
