Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Jim Mik (insert consonants here) said the Pentagon was "studying" the al Jazeera pictures. But you KNOW the Iraqis would never comply with the Geneva convention, did you?

Jim Mik (bunch of consonants) said al Jazeera was showing pix of our soldiers executed or being executed by Iraqis.Al Jazeera has been wrong in the past...I'm praying they're wrong now....
To: mware
Jim, I can only guess that the video shows wounds inflicted on the bodies that are not normal battle wounds.

Hmmm...I seriously doubt if this is truely allied forces. If they are really executing people, they may be putting those allied uniforms they supposedly obtained to use for this show. Al Jezeer is broadcasting from Baghdad, right? WE haven't had any soldiers in Baghdad yet, have we?

That's why Mik said that the Pentagon was studying the pix. They've always been the propaganda arm of al Qaeda--and now the propaganda arm of Iraq.

A CNN reporter was embedded with our troops and witnessed and overheard this Iraqi man he claims was a "combat observer" call in our troops' position? Or did our troops obtain this info from the "combat observer" after he 'surrendered' with his fellow Iraqis? Sorry, need coffee.

but thats kind of like taping the superbowl and watching it after you already heard the final score.Final score: USA wins. Saddam and his cronies loose.
To: texxie
Sky also just showed video of the moment that the patriot missile "engaged" the Tornado that was brought down. Very, very sad
To: mhking

Is anyone becoming suspect of this friendly fire incident that shot down one of the Brit's plane? I don't understand how this could happen considering the state of the Iraqi Air Force. Maybe this needs to be investigated to see if another traitor may be in our midst. Nothing could be more damaging than causing a split between the Yanks and the Brits.
To: Dog
I've seen no confirmation of executions yet, let's hope and pray
