Latest from Stuart Ramsey:

Changing so often it is becoming more confusing by the moment...says he can't confirm anything right now...initial reports were that the attackers were two Kuwaiti translators but that they have now been accounted for and a soldier is missing...the inevitable conclusion is that it may have been carried out by a soldier...they're no longer looking for Kuwaiti nationals, but that could change quickly...Every tent now has a guard on it and armor is guarding each corner...tents are being checked regularly...earlier sirens alerting the base to ground attack have now signaled the "all clear" and the hunt is on for this missing soldier...

"Frag incidents" or "fragging" was soldier slang in Vietnam for the killing of strict, unpopular and aggressive officers and NCO's. The word apparently originated from enlisted men using fragmentation grenades to off commanders.

Nothing surprises me anymore. They are pushing the envelope between free speech and giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Wish the homeland security boys would shut them down. They are like the Tokyo Rose of WWII, but operating on our shores

I was reading a post from the Al-Queda Underground yesterday from a poster who claimed to be serving aboard a US ship in the Gulf.

It was quite virile and nasty post against his fellow sailors and those in the Army and Air Force. It would not surprise me if a Al-Queda sympathizing leftie did this.

soldier and grenades he was guarding are missing - not confirmed info, just radio traffic info from S. Ramsey.

Major General David H. Petraeus is the commander of the 101st and he was my husband's classmate at West Point so he is thinking of him.

I guess I get your point, but there is NOTHING funny about any of this. We are in a war here and the commanding officers of the 101st airborne are now seriously injured.

The reports that they're looking for a soldier is originating from the radio traffic that Stuart is listening to...the soldier in question was guarding material (including grenades) and the soldier is missing along with other ordinance...not jumping to a conclusion that it is definitely the soldier who committed the crime, but they can't find him...sat phone just went out...

I think it is either the soldier who did it or the soldier who was guarding this ordinance was taken out and the perp used the ordinance he was guarding to commit the attack.

He was guarding ammo and is now missing along with some ammo. Did some grab him or is he in on it?

Five or six years ago I remember in reading in "Stars and Stripes" that the Turkish employees at Incirlick airbase were threatening to go on stike. The article gave me the impression there were quite a large number of them there.
