msnbc just did an update and mentioned arnot's report of teo navy corpsmen injured by landmine, but nothing about white powder. i highly suspect that somebody over there was winding arnot's crank, and he went with it.

That's one of the ironic & unexpected benefits of having these embedded reporters; there are some assigned to the special forces dedicated to locating WMD. That was mentioned earlier today on Fox, that with the reporters along with the troops, especially the units that are going to be assigned to search the most suspicious locations, no one will be able to accuse the coalition of planting evidence.

Either that or the unit commander told him to shut up until it was confirmed by lab tests.

Does this story have a second source? ... We could use some confirmation. Careful, asking such things is considered verboten by some of the cretins who frequent this thread.
Be prepared to be called everything but a Conservative for having the audacity to require corroboration of this unsubstantiated report. To date, the best I've got from the proponents is, "It was reported on network television." (rolling eyes)

Her name is Victoria Clark, aka Tori Clark, the Assistant Secretary of Defense. She is responsible for the "embedded" reporters with our troops.

Either that or the unit commander told him to shut up until it was confirmed by lab tests.kinda doubt it. once a genie that big is out of the bottle, it would not easily be stuffed back in. and from my knowledge of him at cbs, i can say with some certainty that arnot is a truly crappy reporter.

Thanks for the bump. If this soldier had anthrax, they would clamp down on this story until they could (a) prove it and (b) rub France, Germany, Belgium, Russia, and China's nose in it.
Individual troops with envelopes filled with bioterrors is a nightmare far worse than warheads filled with chemicals or bio-weapons.

I agree, and I think this topic is worth it's own thread. I have an idea of why the "we" (limit gov't) side is fighting the losing battle, but not for this thread. Bring this up again in a week.

Careful, asking such things is considered verboten by some of the cretins who frequent this thread.I happened on this thread and read with fascination as you and another went on and on over nothing.
What you say above is pure nonsense and you can't back it up with one single post on this thread.
Naturally you'll twist it about to distort the meaning, but perhaps that is your agenda.
Yes, there's a cretin here, but I fear you do not discern the true identity.

No confirmation. I'm guessing that the lid was shut until it can be investigated. But if the story is true, they won't be able to keep the lid on it forever.

Face it. You'd be much better off ditching Dyson and signing up with a new name. And lose the 'tude before you come back.

Anthrax, in it's weaponized form, is a dry powder containing spores. It can last in this form for a really long time, and isn't real temperature sensitive. I presume the spores would start to "germinate" if they got wet, but in that environment (desert) that isn't much of an issue.
I'm not sure how temp sensitive other toxins such as smallpox, tularemia, and botulinum are.

Oh, look!
"Butthead" isn't taken.
You're welcome in advance.

But someone needs to review her wardrobe closet. My 12 yr old said the same thing. "Looks like Neapolitan! Crazy!" :)
