A protestor on CNN actually said we should "bring home all the soldiers and make them teachers."

I'm not anti-Bloomberg, and was only a visitor to NYC, but it seems like Rudy wouldn't have put up with this crap.

Did you see the "teacher" protester that was interviewed by the CNN reporterette about 25 minutes ago? She said she supported the troops by wanting to "bring them home and turn them into something useful, get them out of the military and make them a teacher".

This is the self loathing liberal "intelligencia", who propagate more clones with the same self assured arrogance of Lenin and Trotsky. It's impossible to debate them rationally because they speak in a self taught "newspeak", in which long held definitions are twisted enough to where they now mean two or three differing things depending on your point of view. For instance: Supporting the troops by wanting to eliminate them.

We already took Basra

We haven't entered the city according to military sources and embedded reporters.

Since we're not receiving any hostile fire from inside the city we'll wait until the fate of Baghdad is decided, according to military sources.

"A protestor on CNN actually said we should "bring home all the soldiers and make them teachers."

They are already teachers. They are teaching the liberated Iraqis what freedom means and they are teaching our enemies around the world what provoking the U.S. means.

... a feat that a thousand protests will never match.

I didn't see it, but thanks for the heads up.

All my "educator" friends are commies. This doesn't surprise me.

How can people in NYC, Ground Zero, for Pete's sake, be so damned stupid? I guess I'll never get that.

Man, that's old news. For most of these protesters, 9/11 was four apartments, five girlfriends, and six jobs ago.

I think our troops are teaching somebody a valuable lesson right now.

On a duplicate thread, someone suggested the anti-war protests could become very ugly if we have to lay siege to Baghdad. That brought to mind something I read about the longest siege in history.

"The longest siege in history was that of Azotus, Israel. According to Herodotus, the siege was invested by Psamtik I of Egypt for 29 years in the period 664 - 610 BC." lawyerment.com

It also brought to mind one of my favorite lines from the movie O Brother Where Art Thou:

"My name is George Nelson and I'm here to sack the city of Itta Bena."

Official Portrait of Senator Clinton

All well and good, but then how do you explain this?
