I was watching NBC yesterday morning at work to catch up on the overnight action. Some analyst was talking with Matt Lauer about the power still being on in Baghdad and Matt interrupts him stating that it's due to the human shields at the power stations. The analyst kind of laughed at him and explained that it's because we don't WANT to kill the power or other services. Matt's a turd.

I don't share the somewhat popular opinion that Fox and Friends is something of the weakest link on FNC.Their viewpoint versus the network alternatives more than makes up for any lack of polish for me.I'm watching right now and don't find anything annoying or unprofessional going on.

For me, it's just the weekend FnF crew. All of them just ooze "2nd stringer". I like the weekday crew just fine.

You can tell the pecking order at NBC...
Couric is in NY and Lauer is in Qatar both safely out of missile range, while their subordinates are in Kuwait or embeds.

To: clueless_expert
Tom, Peter and Gunga Dan are also safely "embedded" in NYC as well.

MSNBC webcam with sound now up again.

Oh brother! What low level of educational achievement does it take in order to become a national network anchor? Our commanders are willing to put ~250,000 of our citizens in harm's way in this battle. I can't believe that these fools actually think that we would not attack a strategic target because one or two human shields my be lost.
