Put this on your speaker.
This woman is praying for Mr Bush.
I think her prayers have been answered.

They should be carrying signs that read:
Anarchism Is TERROR

They are making a mockery of the ideals for which so many of us stand.
But those "ideals" ARE a mockery, and find their purest expression in a pile of skulls.

It was an embarrassing display. Clearly, some folks in the anti-war effort have lost their bearings. I know from a distance it's hard to tell, but those weren't bearings. They were marbles.

No, Joan baby, they're slightly ahead of you. Despicable Stalinists you are both, they admit it, you cling to some cliched slogans you call "ideals". At least the anarchists are having fun!
By the way, there was a similar split between the "idealistic" Communists and the uncontrollable anarchists, and surrealists for that matter, in the early 20th century. Unfortunately, it was the "idealistic" Communists who later won! Something to chew on while we read pathetic whining from the "peaceful idealists."

"...I just want to say that I was born in Iraq, and, I left when I was 17, and I came to a country that accepted me for what I am. Iraq never accepted me because of my religion. I was a secondhand citizen over there, because I was Christian. Iraqi people are dead. Bush is not killing Iraqi people, or out shooting [?], not killing Iraqi children. Saddam killed them a long time ago. And thank God for Bush. Finally there is a man who can speak for Iraqi children. I know a lot of people will die, and that is sad. But Iraqi people are dead. You just don't know how bad it is, living under that regime. So for those people, those Americans who are ignorant about what's going on in Iraq, please understand: Iraqi people are dead. They have no voice. We can't speak our mind, we can't practice our religion. And this is the only country -- thank God for America! -- you just don't know how we should appreciate this country. You just don't know how lucky you are. And you know, I am a citizen, and I'm proud to be American. And shame on those Americans that they talk like that about our troops! Shame on them! Bush never tells anybody Saddam been killing all these children. I cannot speak my mind, because if I speak my mind he'll cut my tongue over there! He'll rape our children in front of our eyes! You just don't know how bad it is. So for those ignorant people: please shut up! OK that's all I have to say, and I'm so proud, so proud to be an American. And thanks for listening."

The Chronicle is complicit in this nonsense by publishing the time and place where each anti-America rally will start. They all but encourage their readers to take part in these "protests."
To: HiTech RedNeck
How did you do that???

I used the pause button so it didn't get away from me.

As Lance Corporal Grimes said in Mogadishu, it's a rare and mysterious skill called typing.
To: CHICAGOFARMER
Bush never tells anybody That's probably actually "Bush never kills anybody" (it's hard to make it out, but that would make more sense in the context).

They are not anarchists, they are socialists, which is the complete opposite.
But they suck like an eight pound Oric.

If this continues, we're going to need more Todd Beamers on American streets - to take back and control those who wish to destroy property and terrorize citizens.

If the heads-up is for post #8, it is a little long for a quote, but I will put it on my essays list. Thanks for the heads up! };^D)

The best (worst?) thing I've heard so far, from a young woman at the D.C. protest, "Iraq Rocks." Phuleeze, how can anyone take these fools seriously.

Actually it was for 5. (The remark about losing bearings and the reply about losing marbles.) In #8, the phrase "Bush never tells anybody Saddam..." should probably be "Bush never kills anybody; Saddam..."
