Fox just reported that there were an estimated 20-30 oil well fires but that they US military has successfully extinguished the majority of them.

Becha a deal was cut. You open valve "A", light off the oil stream on about 30 wells. You bug out and tell your boss that you fired off as many as you could before those Yankee Devil Dogs ran us off. The Devil Dogs come in and close the valves. Saddam doesn't cut your head off because you didn't fire up the oil field and the USMC cuts you some slack when they take over the place. Everyone wins.

Actually yes - it was reported in the local Houston,TX news several days ago that special units of Army Combat Engineers had undergone intense training for just that purpose - as well as how to shut down a "run-away" refinery.

"What? We have a "Red Adair" Brigade??? LOL. Take that Saddam!" My father and his family were in the oil and gas well drilling business for years. He knew Red Adair and had to call him in to cap some wells more than once.

FOX NEWS, SHMOX NEWS!
What with the high whining pitch of Shepard Smith, butting in on others all the time with worthless tired old news and the ever rising bottom banners fastly approaching the halfway mark, I've exercised my options and have started to click around to the other worthless cable news outlets.
This is coming from one who is a series hugh FOX NEWS watcher. Problem is, I hate all the other loud mouths even worse!
Oh woe! Oh woe is me :-(
