She got the first question: "is it true, as I have heard from ____, that this campaign is just the first and that we will go on to other countries after this one?" Ari's polite response is that no one at the White House has discussed any such thing. New bombing of Baggdad on split screen. Reporters at defense have their cronies in WH press corp ask the same dumb questions. "What about the poor civilians that are being affected in Baggdad? Ari's response, civilians aren't being affected by bombing of presidential palaces. Have humanitarian aid in place to go when we can distribute it.

The official Iraqi news agency reported that Saddam Hussein had offered a reward of the equivalent of $14,000 to any Iraqi who kills an enemy soldier, and $28,000 to anyone who captures an enemy soldier alive.

It seems to me the press corps simply doesn't understand the purpose of this. There are two:
- Terrify and destroy Saddam Hussein's regime.
- Terrify any other rogue regimes and terrorists.
Using the most powerful weapons during this strike is not only an option, but a necessity. Let this be a demonstration of American and British (I understand RAF Tornado bombers as well as Royal Navy cruise missiles were involved) power to vapourise the terrorists and their sponsoring regimes. Make it so powerful that they feel they can do nothing but surrender.

So what time will DU surrender to FR?
They did already. Some hemmorhoid was saying Bush should be indicted by the ICC. I was gunna register "Shock and Awe" and mention that they could go ahead and try, we might have a few Tomahawks left when this is over.
Registration is disabled by the administrator.
That's a white flag a Frenchman could envy. >:)
