For the past twenty four hours, I was limited to fm radio for several hours. During this time, I switched over to NPR and was shocked at what I heard coming from a nationally broadcasted radio station, that our very own Government funds.
Last night, approximately 8:30 PM EST, the anchor was interviewing a corresponded in the theater. The female voice asked the male voice several questions about the goings on with the 3rd and 1st(I believe) infantry divisions. One question was, "How many American troops are advancing?" The corresponded, embedded, told her! The next question, "Where are they going from there...?" The embedded corresponded told her again the direct route in which the troops were taking. I can tell he was cautious about revealing the info because he purposely lowered his voice to almost a whisper telling her.
Today, the Government funded national radio show of NPR, spent 85% of the time covering Demonstrations world wide. The Anti-war bias displayed to me in the past several hours of listening, is a Damn disgrace and should be screened by Federal officials if for no other reason, than to stuff a sock in their mouth for potential repercussions/danger to our troops.
Government officials, I know you monitor this site, please take the time to review the tapes(NPR) of last night and you will see/hear first hand I speak the truth.
TOPICS: Editorial; Government
KEYWORDS: looselips; npr; securityleak; treason
I think freedom of speech in times of war should be handled by the someone, if new agencies cannot muster up the gray matter to do it them selves.
After listening to NPR over this past 24 hours, it is of MHO they should have their funding cut, and quick.
FYI...

I agree with you completly! NPR should be removed from any government subsidy. If they had to depend on donations I wonder if the Left would foot the bill...

I ran in to my first anti-Bush/War person. He told me that it was all about oil. I commented in a very conversational tone that if it was about oil, why didn't we just take the wells in 1991. He said that that was a mistake. I then asked, again in a conversational tone, if we just want the oil, why not just lift the embargo. He had no answer. It was clear that he was committed to his belief and had no interest in confronting the obvious questions.
I also asked if he had been watching the coverage. He said no but that he is waking up every hour because he is worried about terrorism. I commented that seeing the live coverage from the front gave me a real appreciation for what these guys are doing and going through. He shrugged.
Cowardly and ignorant.

No way would they survive if funded by the left...no way.
I cannot believe this station has survived as long as it has...

NPR = NCR = Nat'l Communist Radio.
I can't listen to it. They should be shutdown. Right after the start of Enduring Freedom some lady called in and said that she was against this war, religion and a bunch of other stuff. She said that nothing was more important than human life.
I beg to differ. There is nothing more important that freedom and liberty. She failed to understand that Freedom is not free. It's paid for in blood.
She sounded as if she would be okay living under a tyrant's rule as long as no one was killed. Typical left.

Wasn't it Nina Totenberg who said it was her job to report everything she so regardless of the implications during the Afghanistan war...even if it endangered US soldiers?

Tim, I just talked to FOx and relayed this info to be relayed by them to their correspondent traveling with the convoy in case CentCom did not catch it. With this sudden attack out of nowhere on the convoy, it is possible they missed it and the commander of the convoy does not know their position has been compromised.
I was assured that it would be passed on to FOX's correspondent immediately to insure that the Commander of these troops know there is a snitch in their midst who has put our troops in harm's way.
Government agencies have a tendency to not pay much attention to emails from civilians.
I also informed FOX that we have had an ongoing tracking monitor on every possible radio and television station who have imbedded correspondents along with our troops for just such treasonous activity.
I am taking their assurance that this would indeed be passed to Kelly who would make absolutely sure this information had either been received and dealt with, or would be dealt with immediately.
Bless you all for your patriotism.
