Thanks for the info on "Shock and Awe." I didn't know it was a seven-year-old concept. Obviously, it's been well thought out.

You'd think one of our news networks would stream as a public service in times of crisis. I'd even deal with an advertising banner or two.

I still think "shock and awe" will mainly occur off-camera, where our troops are fighting, and not in downtown Baghdad, at least not until our troops get there. But what do I know? I had the same thought. Why would we put the bombers against Baghdad when we need to clear the way for the troops to continue moving North? Seems like the obvious thing to do is to target the Iraqi troops who stand in the way.
That doesn't preclude heavy duty Baghdad strikes but the goal at this point has to be to take out the Republican Guard. I would think that targeting large numbers of Republican Guard from within Baghdad would be very hard.

ALERT!
Baghdad flattened by new weapon.
Too large for a C-130 and much larger than the MOAB, the new bomb had to be dropped from a C-5A at high altitude.
Film director Michael Moore was dropped on Baghdad this morning. The city was flattened and now has a huge crater in the city center. The rest of the city was wiped out by what scientist theorize was the shockwave from an instantaneous release of the laregest concentration of stupidity in the known universe. This would make Mr. Moore, author of the biography "Stupid White Man", the largest non nuclear device in history. The international community has protested our use of this weapon, but as usual who cares what they think. Plans call for a smaller realease of a concentrated annoyance weapon. A drop of Barbara Streisand on Basra is being considered.
