I see what you mean, but for the sake of our soldiers' safety, I'd rather the Iraqis be impotent.

On Thursday night, officials were still holding out hope that one of the American 2,000 pound bombs and nearly 40 Tomahawk cruise missiles, each carrying 1,000 pounds of explosives, may have struck Saddam or one of his sons, Qusay and Uday.

Yes and Hans Blix said he wouldn't use them because people would say bad things about him. Saddam has to think about his reputation you know.
To: Badabing Badaboom
Yes, but that is with the assumption that SH is living. If he is dead, there may be tons of chem weapons and they possibly wouldn't be used.

I understand your points. Hearing that the Iraqi leadership are thought to be operating on very few cylinders at least at the moment, may explain the appearance of ease we've experience. Perhaps they are re-grouping with other or less senior officials at the helm and we will be seeing a stronger more coordinated effort. An effort that pulls the toys out of the closet.
??
The other issue that remains looming like a storm on the horizon is the ethnic fractiousness and the Kurd-Turk situation. I've always thought the real war will start after the war is done.

Well, FOX and the news are reporting and a government official are reporting Saddam was in what we bombed, his two devil offshoots most likely were, the ambulance was called, and Saddam's ex mistress- who is with the INC said that was not Saddam on that tape.

Sorry to say, I agree with you.
It's been way too easy so far.
Like you, I expect the worst.
