In our house the rule is whoever has the remote is the "boss"...guess who has the remote most of the time? You guess it, ME!

Thanks for that. I picked up on the tail end of that on MSNBC and wasn't sure where the reporter was talking about. he said the Iraqi troops are dug in. Time for some aerial support.

Ah, I love the internet:
"John has a long mustache" was the coded-signal used by the French Resistance in WWII to mobilize their forces once the Allies had landed on the Normandy beaches.

Lets hope and pray that someone in authority is aware of this. But I will be switching back and forth on my tv. Don't know what can be done. Which river is it that is in Mosul?

Did anyone see the dems just now on C-span 2?? It was on the final house vote for Bush's budget...It cut entitlement speding 1%, increased defense spending and included the Bush tax cuts...the vote was VERY CLOSE. Something like 213-215 against the budget with THIRTEEN MORONS on our side voting united with the democrats. The dems in the aisle stoof up and started running around clapping and cheering...thinking they had defeated the Bush budget, then at the last second, one dem and one rep changed their vote and it passed!!! Everyone on the 'right' side of the aisle started cheering and laughing, then they went on to other business....another quick victory for us!!!:)

"I think it had something to do with D-Day, anyone want to make sure I am right about that?"
In WWII, the BBC broadcast "personal messages" on their shortwaver broadcasting service. These messages were coded instructions to resistance groups in Europe.
The message "John has a long mustache" was the code that told the French resistance that the D-Day invasion was about to start. It was made famous by the movie 'The Longest Day'.
To: lorrainer
I hadn't heard that, but I dont think it will work if that's the case.

On C-SPAN2, BBC has shown some footage of surrendering Iraqi soldiers.

Fox - Rita Cosby's sources say that as many as 50% of Rep. Guard soldiers could surrender.
50-60Km outside of baghdad lies a circle of Republican guard troops. This is where the hard part begins.
To: blondee123
my tv and computer are in the same room, but I don't see how you people can keep up with both, lol
To: Tree of Liberty
Glad it's Rita now. Love Laurie, but if she's not reading it, she's kind of lost.
4 days to get to Baghdad? They can just loop the tanks-in-the-desert video. I can't sit here for 4 days!

I read a website report earlier, that that was a sign of capitulation, to put vehicles in a circle.
To: momofsixgirls
Fox - 30 Iraqi soldiers surrender to U.S. forces at Um Kaser.
As least some oil fires were deliberately set by Iraqi forces
To: momofsixgirls
She wasn't speaking about a few vehicles parked in a circle, she meant a circle all around Baghdad
To: Tree of Liberty
Jarret question: When will they sleep?
Capt. Chris Lohmann: Adrenaline is pushing them now. But they will get rest especially when the vehicles need to be maintained.
