DALLAS PRO-AMERICA RALLY MENTIONED IN DALLAS MORNING NEWS, ON KLIF TALK RADIO (AGAIN)

Meanwhile, supporters of the U.S. military’s intervention in Iraq also had plans to voice their stance. Several people, including members of a loosely organized group calling itself Texas United, were expecting to be on hand for the 7 p.m. events at Dallas City Hall while a larger gathering was scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday outside the Old Red Courthouse in downtown Dallas.

"We want to portray to America and the community that we are behind our troops in the military 100 percent," said Charles Lingerfelt, an organizer of Saturday's courthouse rally.

Dallas radio talk show host Darrell Ankarlow, angered by popular actors and musicians who were speaking out against U.S. involvement in Iraq, helped to organize a Texas United rally in February that drew more than 3,000 people.

“There was nobody standing up and saying, ‘Doggone it, I’m proud to be an American,’” Mr. Ankarlow complained. “These people don’t understand how they are empowering Saddam Hussein.”

Elsewhere, many religious leaders were putting politics aside as they rallied their congregations with calls for prayer.

Thank you Dallas Morning News and Mr. Ankarlow. Also thanks to KLIF for doing such an outstanding job of promoting this rally.

However, ABC is scrolling a ticker underneath the war news about the Peace Rally at Dallas City Hall at 7:00 p.m. tonight. WE NEED TO DEMAND EQUAL TIME! Where is the scroll announcing our support the troops rally on Saturday?! FREEP ABC!

Freepers, please call in to your favorite radio shows and announce this rally also. Word is spreading, but the radio shows need a little push.

Clinger will be taping with KERA (PBS) tonight to do "the other side of the story" to the anti-war rally held on flagpole hill last weekend. Go get 'em Clinger!

I hope to see all of you on Saturday!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

NATIONAL RALLY FOR AMERICA
AND
I LOVE AMERICA PRO-MILITARY RALLY

March 22nd at 3pm Central

LOCAL RALLY ORGANIZED  AND SPONSORED BY NINE BROTHERS
AND OTHER CO-SPONSORS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

10 March, 2003 Media Contact:
Charles Lingerfelt (972)286-0606

Dallas, TX -- Freedom loving citizens will pour into the streets of thriving metropolises and rural towns across America in support of their country on March 22 at the call of the Young Conservatives of Texas, Free Republic Network, Citizens for a Sound Economy, Dallas County Republican Assembly, Texas Pachyderm Clubs, Dallas-area Kurdish Community, FreeMarket.org, and Nine Brothers.

The nationwide effort is being organized with the mission of showing France, Germany, Iraq and the media that the majority of Americans support the removal of Saddam Hussein and are willing to stand up to the anti-war enemies within our borders.

Members of YCT-UT in Austin, along with a coalition of the willing and with the help of the Leadership Institute are in the process of contacting patriotic citizens in all fifty states of the Union who are willing to spend the day declaring to the world their support of President Bush's demand that Saddam Hussein disarm completely and immediately.

Citizens in Texas, Florida, Virginia, Washington and New York have already pledged their support in organizing local rallies.

"Anti-war and Bush hating extremists have made long treks to cities like Washington D.C. and San Francisco to inflate their numbers for the cameras and send a message to Saddam Hussein that he has friends in the United States," said Austin Kinghorn, Chairman of YCT-UT. "It's time for the silent majority to rise up, and we don't need to congregate at one location to do it. All it takes are freedom loving citizens across the country gathering at their State Capitol or town square and issuing a bold proclamation-- that the fringe minority of anti-war Americans will not send a message to Saddam Hussein that we are accepting of his defiance of the world."

The local Rally in Dallas will occur simultaneously across the country at 3 p.m. in all four time zones. Organizers of local rallies will contact local media and solicit coverage for the events while reminding the press their efforts are a part of the national movement.

The National Rally for America Web site is at http://www.freeper.org

"Citizens who are asking what they can do to join the rally effort need look no further than themselves," said Charles Lingerfelt, Executive Director of Nine Brothers.  "The state of Texas calls upon patriots in all fifty states who haven't forgotten 9-11 to organize with their neighbors and show that our President and our troops have our unwavering support and prayers."

Brian Bodine, American Defense Director of YCT-UT, in Austin, called upon university students to rise up and answer the call of organizing rallies in their local communities.

"For too long, anti-war demagogues inspired by Marxism and a hatred for President Bush have pushed a pro-Saddam agenda on campus," Bodine said. "YCT avails upon reasonable students who love their country to rise up and take back their campuses in one day of national solidarity."

The local sponsoring group is tenaciously seeking national media exposure for the rally by contacting major print outlets as well as television networks such as Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, Lingerfelt said.

"Saddam Hussein and his allies in France and Germany have seen the cameras capture anti-war protestors here at home and are using them as leverage in protecting a ruthless Iraqi dictator," he further said. "Through reminders of how much a war will cost American citizens and hollow concessions to inspector demands, Saddam's own spokespeople are attempting to capitalize on the public airing of a small faction of un-American citizens that have forgotten genuine evil exists in the world. On March 22, Saddam's public relations farce will be debunked as the silent majority proclaims their demand of an end to his reign of deception and terrorism."

The Dallas and North Texas Rally will take place in Downtown Dallas at the "Old Red" Court House Building, and the JFK Memorial. A plethora of North Texas residents, along with those from other regions of Texas who are willing to make the drive to Dallas have already vowed their attendance.  Members of the associated Co-sponsors are working fervently to organizing an inspiring program with high-profile speakers. Details will be forthcoming, and available at the National Rally for America Web site.
