Arlington Police and fire have blocked off Lynn Street and other streets in vicinity of Key Bridge. Looks like hundreds of police on the scene. So far no word on what precipitated the event, but this hasn't happened before.

It's either that or yell: "hey, free drugs, booze, and sex over here" so you can corral them!

Key Bridge Mariott........was there when the men landed on the moon. Stood outside in the parking lot just gazing up in wonderment and awe.

It's my understanding that a court ruling after the GOP convention in 2000 restricts Philly police from automatically arresting protesters who block streets.

So, does anyone have an update on what closed the bridge?
To: kristinn
Why don't they have to follow the same kind of rules as the pro-life protestors?

They should fine the protestors --make them pay for anyone's missed work time. They can just get the money from their parents anyhow.

As long as you have no drugs or alcohol in your system and "accidently" run over one of these protesters, you wouldn't get in trouble.....it was an accident.....;^)
To: muawiyah
Tell me, have they posted their official sign directing fellow-protestors??
To: muawiyah
Are the peaceniks there Blocking everything?
To: Rick.Donaldson
So, does anyone have an update on what closed the bridge? I believe the protestors locked arms and stood on the bridge.

WMAL reported that Arlington police arrested four of them. D.C. police just dispersed them at their end of the bridge. There doesn't seem to be alot of them, though.
