This little man struts and sputters

out of control he continually mutters

sedition is his marching order

as scuds cross over Kuwait's border

later on he will cry and deny

As he is condemned by you and I

A real bastard is little tommy Daschle

His statue will stand in the Sun King's castle

And we have dispensed with a corrupt sham sustained by our critics: the notion that a dictator, no matter how cruel and illegitimate, is untouchable behind his "sovereign" borders.

Here, here. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men were created equal, and that they were endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights...

We have finally accepted that it is no longer enough to wait for enemies to attack first. We have accepted our unique responsibility to intervene abroad in the cause of global security and human rights.

The first may be true, the second is the same rhetoric used in our war with Serbia over Kosovo. That war decreased the effectiveness of our military because it was essentially started and stopped arbitrarily.

None of us would want to be operated upon by a surgeon using a medical text from the 19th century. And we cannot address the strategic cancers of the 21st century using antique diplomatic etiquette designed to protect the kings, czars and emperors of bygone Europe.

Excellent analysis. Thanks for the ping, CG and Dennis.

We have finally accepted that it is no longer enough to wait for enemies to attack first.

We did wait. We waited till Sadam attacked Kuwati, then moved him back. When he signed the treaty to disarm if we would stop attacking we waited 12 years till he was implicated in attacking us on Sept 11.

We then waited for the UN do accomplish anything besides use paper and turn caviar into manure until the UN decided Sadam had no more Scuds. We then attacked, and todays Skud into Kuwait shows that the time for retoric and posturing is over and was a farce all along.

The idea behind Sadam's treaty was that he would promptly disarm, we were not planning to wait till he died of old age to declare he finaly disarmed. But we looked the other way, while Clintoon diddled 8 years away, and Sadam rose enough courage to aid a second Pearl Harbor into our history.

It is time to end the charade, and now must pay the price to gain security for the American Shores once again. The price will be a lot higher than it would have had Clinton acted responsibly as a President. But it seems his sex life was more important to him than his office or his country.

The price to disarm Sadam would have been a whole lot less with 8 less years of France and Germany and China and Russia arming him again. They were greedy evil men, but Clinton was thang AND a traitor.

But our president is rewriting the strategy itself, in a manner so bold and vital that we have not yet begun to grasp its full import.

Chess and Checkers.....
