Remember the scene in "Apocalypse Now" where the Air Cav attacks the Vietcong village, and "Ride of the Valkyries" is blaring from a speaker on the lead copter? I was wondering what songs would be apropos for this war? Any good ideas? I thought a good one would be "The End" by The Doors.

I thought the Brits were covered with "Another one Bites the Dust, but your selection was nice. What language are they singing and can you translate it for me...but series...how about "With Catlike Tread?" as an alternative.

War Pigs, by Black Sabbath. Yep. No doubt about it. The ultimate mission prep song.

Sorry to be a ninny but I learned that reality the same way...a FReeper corrected me a few years ago.
I had an electrical catheter study done on my heart about 20 years ago for a congenital arrythmia and while I was on the table doped on Versed and they were running wires up my femoral vein headed towards my ticker on the screen....guess what the Docs turned on the boombox (at Johns Hopkins)...."Ride of the Valkyries"....I started laughing so hard they had to goose up the Versed and off I went into the great unknown briefly.

or some of the "Carmina Burana"
So far I like Rock the Casbah and Burning Down the House the best.
Blondie's "Die Young, Stay Pretty" also crossed my mind, for the Republican Guard, not our guys....
