'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the Presdient, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'

If I must choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness.

We believe in all our heartsin democracy; in the capacity of the people to govern themselves; and we are bound to succeed, for our success means not only our own triumph, but the triumph of the cause of the rights of the people throughout the world, and the uplifting of the banner of hope for all the nations of mankind.

What does the FATHER of Natalie's child have to say? He's an Iranian crossdresser. Check out some of the other DC threads the last few days for more info.

I think I saw or read that the original lead singer was "let go" (fired) by the sisters and Natalie's dad, Lloyd, suggested her to them. She was more into the pop/rock side of the fence but joined them anyway. Hmmmm - wonder if they will do to Natalie what they did to the other one????

To say that the "guestbook" was flooded with less than complimentary wishes would be an understatement. Either Maines pulled the plug for damage control or the website owner did.

The webmaster is probably saying, "dammit, I know this pays the bills, but would you PLEASE SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!"

'To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the Presdient, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.'But there is also an implied requirement that your criticism be based on facts, not feelings.
She is really the wrong person to be throwing the "trasonous" label around, since she practiced sedition against the U.S. in a foreign land. Travis Tritt is right: if you think you are right, have the guts to say it in Houston, not in front of a bunch of socialist greenies in a London nightclub. Criticize the President here, or better, defend your view in a public forum. I suggest James Woods as the presenter of the opposing opinion.

What kind of influence does an entertainment person really have? Do you think Chirac bases his decisions on what Martin Sheen says? Just because someone is not a freeper, do you think they are just sponges, soaking up anything hollywood says? People form their views from a lot of things...media...politicians, etc. I think you give hollywood too much credit, and it gets perpetuated by so many people making a big thing out of it. They feed off of things freeper-like.
I wonder why she didn't use this one! LOL!

"How much of the world listens to our liberal politicians?"Plenty ... and you would have to be completely naive to believe that the fact that the Democrats in Washington were raising h*ll about what the President was doing didn't have an effect on the French, the German, and the Iraqi governments. I can protest what they have to say by not voting for them, as well as taking to the streets if need be.
So that argument doesn't fly ... I don't rightly care whether she speaks or not. But she can .. and will .. face the consequences of what she says and does if enough people are in opposition. I won't feel that justice will have been done in this situation until the Vichy Chicks have to audition to be allowed to play at County Fairs.

Given that her manager is going after us Freepers, they probably have somebody monitoring this website. Once they saw the link to her homepage, they took it offline. Wussies. Part of having the courage of one's convictions is to take whatever heat comes from the opposition.
Perhaps her ex-husband whupped upside the head once too often.

Sites down. Wanna piss the Chicks off, dmand that they bring back the original singer Laura Lynch. She had a voice like a angel, verses the slut sound of Natalie Maines. Laura is the brunette and a hell of a bassist!
