"We still have a window of opportunity tonight," said Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., the only House member who voted against a resolution over a year ago authorizing President Bush to use force against anyone associated with the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
We are worried that the war on terrorism is taking a back seat to a pre-emptive strike on Saddam Hussein," Waters said. "Yes, every country should be able to defend itself, but we're in no danger from Iraq. Striking Saddam is not fighting terrorism."

Maybe we could suggest they go to Iraq as human shields.
To: FairOpinion

Barbara Lee's vote against hunting down the 9/11 terrorists should be a chief tool in convincing the American public that Democrats are not serious about national security. The more visible she is, the better.
To: FairOpinion
Yes, or they can have direct meetings with Saddam right away ... just take those GPS devices with them, too.

Maxine Waters would make a good human shield: who would want to get anywhere near anything that ugly freak is guarding?
To: FairOpinion
A message from aliens posing as humans. Creatures from another planet or dimension so far removed from our species that their communication efforts make no sense.

Maxine Waters assures us that we are under no threat from Iraq. What a relief! (/sarcasm off)
I'm ashamed that these people are from this planet.

Not only that, but these are our representatives in Congress. With people like that in our own US Congress, and the likes of Daschle, who needs enemies.

There is seemingly no intellilectual nor educational requirement to hold elected office in this country. When you stack up the idiots on the Hill next to the powerhouse administration, it's no wonder the WH virtually ignores the Congress. We are very lucky to have Bill Frist. One of the few with a vision, let alone a decent education.

Wait.! Maxie baby Don't forget to take conyers, and that waxman dude with you. Yeah, you can be the boss.

Please, someone get a pencil and paper and draw Maxine a picture so she will get it.
Saddam is a terrorist, and this is the war on terror on another front.
I suppose she was one who complained that Bush didn't do enough to prevent the attacks of 911 right?
To: FairOpinion
Maybe it's not practical.
But B Lee and M Waters
names are so dispicable to me.
I'd love to have code names hereon for them. Such as what?

More "Daschle Moments" from people with impeccable political timing. Keep 'em coming, folks.
> "We still have a window of opportunity tonight,"

Sure, if Saddam goes into exile.
> ...the only House member who voted against a resolution

Note that this was not the Iraq res.
As I recall, there was one pol who voted against declaring
war on Japan after Pearl Harbor. Ms. Lee needs to share
his obscurity, and perhaps her blathering will help.
> "We are opening a door to an era which de-emphasizes
> diplomacy and devalues peaceful solutions through
> negotiations," said Rep. Donald Payne, D-N.J.
No, it restores diplomacy, because it restores teeth
to agreements, resolutions and declarations. Saddam
failed to disarm because he perceived the UN as unwilling
to actually stand behind its words. He was correct.
> "...shouldn't we do everything in our power to find
> a peaceful solution to the situation in Iraq?"
Define "everything". Seems like weve done it.
> Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., questioned whether
> the United States had set aside the search for
> Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenants.
Amazing.
Sorry, weve seen that slight-of-hand trick before.
What little magic it had is gone.
> "We are worried that the war on terrorism is taking
> a back seat to a pre-emptive strike on Saddam Hussein,"
No, actually, you ARENT worried about that, Maxie.
> "Striking Saddam is not fighting terrorism."
Well remind you of those words after the training camps
are overrun, and the records exposed.
This caucus is panicing.
The PLO must be in a pure panic too, what with the drying
up of those $25K homicide-bomber awards from Saddam.

Barbara Lee was after 9-11 America's only friend of the Taliban. I suggest every one ignore the Bezerkeley kooks - they aren't representative of America.
To: FairOpinion
Maybe we could suggest they go to Iraq as human shields. Sounds like a plan to me
